Fibroblasts are skin cells responsible for secretion of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid – the main components of skin youth: thanks to those skin looks elastic and smooth. Unfortunately, they are not everlasting: with age, their number decreases in a geometric progression.
The recent advances in cellular technology have enabled the laboratory cultivation of autologous skin fibroblasts and obtaining their quantity, required for effective rejuvenation. When inserted into the patient’s skin, healthy young active cells permanently synthesize growth factors and the components of the extracellular matrix which ensure healthy and younger skin.
